Best wishes for 2019
From the Hôtel Lutetia, Frédéric Jousset (H.92) joined Peter Todd on Facebook Live to offer his best wishes for the new year to the volunteers of HEC Alumni and talk about the launch of the Infinity Pass lifetime membership program. He also announced the creation of an investment fund that will allow alumni to support start-ups from the HEC ecosystem, and the appointment of two vice-presidents, Nathalie Gaveau (H.99) and Ludovic Guilcher (H.97).
An arrival, a departure
Welcome to Alyssa Dominioni [MBA.18], who joins HEC Alumni’s London office to lend a hand to the volunteers of our most active chapter (40 events per year) and develop its career department. In charge of international MBA recruitment at HEC Paris since 2014, Alyssa knows the school and its network inside out, and is a fervent ambassador of it. And thank you to Fatimazahra Moraux (E.18), IT manager in charge of HEC Alumni’s digital transformation, who is leaving us for new adventures. Her contribution made all the difference in developing our digital platform and CRM tools.
HEC Alumni Forum
The HEC Alumni Forum, the association’s annual career event on campus, took place on January 16th and 17th in the study building. The two-day event had a packed agenda designed to prepare students for the HEC Career Fair: mock interviews, workshops for reviewing their résumés and LinkedIn profiles, conferences themed by sector or country, a HEC Photo Pro stand, and speed mentoring.
It also featured contributions from prominent speakers. Mats Carduner (H.90), founder and CEO of Fifty-Five and Olivier Casanova (H.89), CFO of Tereos, shared their vision of the opportunities offered by the transformations underway in their respective sectors. Attendance at the Forum increased for the second year running, with 1,040 people coming to the event. 75 students — a third more than in 2018 — received advice from their elders through two 20-minute speed mentoring sessions. A success!
The first edition of the HEC Alumni Gala Dinner will take place on June 20th at the Petit Palais in Paris. Organized in coordination with the School and the Foundation, this prestigious gala will bring together 300 alumni and be attended by Minister of Finance Bruno Le Maire.
