In a single bound

In terms of superpowers, Joy comes from pedigree. “My father was a taekwondo master and I started practicing martial arts at the age of 7.” Born into sport, this 23-year-old Lebanese student never lets up. Between her studies at HEC and her intensive athletics training, it takes a stretch to keep a foot in both worlds.

This athlete really took off when she discovered the long jump and the triple jump. “I just fell in love with these two disciplines,” she says. And that love seems requited, since Joy has already won several championship titles in Lebanon.

She arrived in France this year and entered the M1 Grande École program. Hitting the books without missing any training? Quite a challenge! “I must admit it’s not always easy, but I have a very clear vision of the goals I want to achieve. This year, I qualified for the French University Indoor Championships, and I can’t wait to take part!” And even if that doesn’t work out, let’s bet she’ll come bouncing back.
