50 HEC Alumni from all programs and generations gathered together on may 9, 2019 for a prestigious and fun evening at the Frick Collection in New York, NY. Dean Peter Todd came from Paris alongside with Olivier Sevilla (HEC Paris Foundation President) in order to present the launch of the new fundraising campaign to the NYC Alumni community.Hubert Joly (H.81), Best Buy’s CEO, who recently created the first Family Endowed Chair for Purposeful Leadership at HEC Paris was our Guest of Honor. Under the high patronage of our eminent alumni Jean Marie Evillard (H.59) and Joseph Audi (H.71), we had the extreme privilege to visit the galleries privatized for the occasion. Specialized docents have guided us through this temple of classical art. We then shared an amazing dîner in the patio, prepared and served by Daniel Boulud, one of the few French double Michelin starred chef in NYC. Hubert Joly kindly shared with us his thoughts both on his personal career as he is about to step over from his CEO role at Best Buy, and on his recent engagement with HEC Paris for Purposeful Leadership. We also celebrated another exceptional donation from Jean-Marie Evillard, which is going to finance the creation of another Chair on Global Value Investing. At the dawn of the new fundraising campaign, HEC Alumni in NYC have answered to their dean’s call, and they are ready to support HEC in its international development.
